Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at christina@lawwithchristina.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

You can still terminate parental rights and adopt. We can proceed through a process called publication. Call us to file your case as soon as possible!

The short answer is no. BUT if you and another person are both wanting to adopt, that other person must be your spouse.

The biggest thing to know about termination of parental rights on grounds (involuntary) is that we only have to prove one ground. Popular grounds include Failure to pay child support, Failure to visit, Maintaining a lifestyle that caused the child to be removed (such as no housing or constant criminal charges). There are many other grounds but these are a few common ones. Talk with us to find out more.
